Actually, I agree that we need to be spending more on the military. However, that should not translate into more soldiers internationally. Rather, the Department of Defense should be concentrating exclusively upon defense systems: we should have fighter jets patrolling the entire nation 24/7. In addition, we should be arming these jets with the potential to destroy any threat - whether it be from air, land, or sea. Powerful defense technology is the only way to ensure our country remains a world leader without over extending our resources.
